Disinvestment from Israel

The trustees of Hampshire College in western Massachusetts have voted to divest from six companies that do business in Israel, making Hampshire the first U.S. college to do so. The trustess said that the move was not anti-Israeli, and was prompted by general social concerns. However, the move came after complaints came from the Students for Justice in Palestine, a pro-Hamas student group.

So what kind of a school is Hampshire? Your typical nutty-left school. The World Music course studies global hip-hop. Race sex and gender; gender, sex and race; and sex, race, and gender. A board composed of nonentitites. All in all, a dumbed-down version of Doonsebury’s Walden College.

Bad ideas, like fashion, begin in Paris, and turn up five years later in the boonies.
